🛸 April 11, 2021 – In a matter of weeks, it will be a year since Project Blue Book fans discovered there would be no season 3. The current goal of the #SaveBlueBook petition is to reach 30,000 signatures by May 7, 2021. And to continue gathering signatures! If you have not signed the petition, please visit www.savebluebook.com and sign/share. And Damian Holbrook of TV Guide recently provided reasons why people should watch this series.
🛸 The photography involved in making Project Blue Book was discussed in a highly technical one-hour ‘Clubhouse Conversations — 2021 ASC Awards: Episode of a One-Hour Series for Commercial’ in anticipation of the February 18th American Cinematographers awards. In this episode, AC contributor and filmmaker Jim Hemphill moderates a discussion with nominees in the Episode of a One-Hour Series for Commercial Television category about the camerawork in their respective shows: François Dagenais, CSC (Project Blue Book, “Area 51”), C. Kim Miles, ASC, CSC, MySC (Project Blue Book, “Operation Mainbrace”), Marshall Adams, ASC (Better Call Saul, “Bagman”) and Jon Joffin, ASC (Motherland: Fort Salem, “Up is Down”). Francois and Kim discuss the complexities of shooting Blue Book, and highlight the fantastic night jeep scene from season 2’s “Area 51” episode as well as “Operation Mainbrace”. View the entire interview at https://vimeo.com/534166780. Fingers crossed for a win for Project Blue Book on April 18th!
🛸 Remember the house from Project Blue Book’s “Curse of the Skinwalker”, the one with the cool porch and the creepy skinwalker? Well, the porch will be making appearance in the new NBC scifi series Debris starring Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele. Just take a look… Debris airs Mondays at 10pm ET. If you miss it, you can rewatch it on PeacockTV, NBC online, Hulu and other platforms. This episode is entitled “You Can Call Me Caroline.”
🛸 David O’Leary did a Clubhouse chat on April 1st. Unfortunately Clubhouse is currently only available to iPhone users, so I was unable to attend. If anyone did attend this chat and would like to provide details on what David may have said regarding Project Blue Book, please let us know!
🛸 Aidan Gillen’s latest film, Those Who Wish Me Dead, is being released to theaters and HBO Max (U.S.) in May. You can view the trailer at the link below and, yes, Aidan once again plays a bad guy. He does it so well though.
🛸 On April 8th, Michael Malarkey did a half hour Instagram live interview with TV Host & lifestyle contributor Tommy Didario. The interview was basically discussion of Michael’s work on The Vampire Diaries, and some music-related questions. However, Instagram crashed toward the end of the interview. Thanks to a fan who recorded it, Tommy was able to load the entire interview to his Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/p/CNcq6cMBPUL/
Michael also completed his four day ‘virtual tour’ at the end of March, leaving behind many happy fans. Here’s just one snap from it!
While auditioning for various roles, Michael is also focusing on his musical side. In collaboration with fellow musician Tom Williams (a very recognizable face if you’ve ever had the privilege of seeing Michael on tour), they have formed @Vulture.pit . The project is in its infancy so follow Michael and/or this account on what promises to be new music. You can follow Tom Williams at his Instagram account at https://www.instagram.com/t_dubz_bass/.
🛸 Congratulations are in order! Hayley McLaughlin (Rebecca in season 2) recently became a U.S. citizen!
🛸 A fan noticed something ‘off’ in Project Blue Book’s season one episode “Operation Paperclip.” Listen very carefully to the guard. NOW we know why this guy got sent off in the UFO. 😉
🛸 Ksenia Solo posted an Easter picture to her Instagram:
🛸 Paul Hynek appeared in the “J ALLEN HYNEK – ALIENS – SPACE SHIPS AND YOU!!!!” podcast of SpacedOutRadio on April 9th. If you missed it, you can listen to the interview in its entirety at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9Uo0QsP2vg.
